Survey for Artists: Easton's Silk Mill Complex
The Easton Redevelopment Authority, which owns the Silk
Mill complex (330,000 sq ft!) is considering the
space as a major
arts center and destination, with buildings ranging from light
industrial artist workspaces to media technology, as well as more
traditional artist studio spaces.
Artist enterprise facilities may be offered as condominium units and/or
rentals.
As a part of the feasibility analysis for the Mill, artists throughout
the US are being queried concerning their interest.
Please take a few moments to complete this survey. You may choose to do
so anonymously or you may provide your name for follow-up contact as
the project moves ahead.

13th Street Silk Mill Plans
The ACE Meeting on Tuesday,
March 11,
2008 included a special
presentation by The Bushkill
Creek Corridor Steering Committee,
regarding the 13th Street Silk Mill and
plans for building its potential role in the arts community. The
meeting was well attended by both ACE members and interested people
from the community.
The intent of the meeting was both to inform, and to gather information
about the community needs to help guide the planning of this project.
The presentation was very informative, and the meeting grew lively as
people put forth some great ideas for the site.
A survey is now available online, if anyone has further input - see the
annoncement section above.

From time to time, we will be showcasing members.
ACE members include artists of every medium, but also educators, patrons and devotees of the arts.
Interested members should contact the ACE officers at the monthly ACE meetings.
Website Update
The ACE website will be undergoing a facelift
Over the next few months, the site will be slowly reorganized. Meanwhile, the Promotions commitee will be developing a new design.
