ACE Board Meeting Minutes
April 15th, 2008
Williams Center For the Arts- Rm. 108
Present: D. Howell, A. Marraccini, M. Legath, B. Thena, M. Riker,
A. Kwiatkowski, C. Georgio,
Absent: M. Legath, P.Laduca, M. Okaya- advisor to the board
Meeting called to order at 06:05PM-
Motion to accept the minutes from the previous meeting by B. Thena, seconded
By A, Kwiatkowski, motion passed
Treasurer’s Report by M. Legath- Savings- $ 8,016.27
Checking- $ 1,539.09
Scholarship- $ 3,644.54
Motion made to accept the treasurer’s report by M. Riker, seconded
by P. Johnson, motion passed.
Scholarship forms are out- need a push from those with school contacts to help motivate guidance departments
Election results- Vice President- Bill Rich
New Board members- Blodwyn Gourniak
Pamela Lee LaDuca
No other Officer’s Reports at this time
River Rites Festival Update: Bob Thena-
-Insurance issues investigated and settled- will be part of one fee
-City has new policy regarding the artists tents- fee will be roped into fee
charged by RR for the tent space
-WLVR- joined on as a media sponsor
Proposal made by Bob Thena to receive financial support through ACE Grants-
( $300.00 from PCA Grant, $700.00 from Saint Gobains Grant ) totaling $1,000.00- This would help with final expenses for the event and would be given back to ACE in the event that the Festival Runs in the Black.
Motion made by D. Howell to secure the funding, seconded by C. Georgio,
Motion passed.
Event Dates- Riverside Festival of the Arts- September 20- 21
Easton Arts Tour- September 27-28
ACE Arts Awards- December 7th
Farmers Market- ACE Tent- $100.00 for the season for the tent- will be
stored in City Hall- Motion to approve the tent fee by D. Howell, seconded
by M. Riker, motion passed.
Riverside Festival of the Arts- Discussion surrounding the use of grant
monies to support the Festival- ( $177.00 from PCA Grant, $323.00 from
St. Gobains ) for a total of $500.00 for RFA-
Motion made by M. Riker to use grant monies in this manner, seconded by
B. Thena, motion passed.
Recognition of Volunteers- Two members of ACE have stepped forward to fill
Needed roles-
Christina Johnson- Membership Secretary
Sandra Levisay- Public Arts Liaison
River Rites-
Sponsor logo needed for web site-PACAC-
