ACE Board Meeting Minutes
May 16th, 2008
Williams Center For the Arts- Rm. 108
Present: B. Rich, B. Thena, M. Riker, P. Johnson, A. Kwiatkowski, P. LaDuca,
B. Gourniak, M. Okaya- advisor to the board
Absent: A. Marraccini, M. Legath, P.Laduca, D. Howell. C. Georgio,
Meeting called to order at 06:15PM- by V.P.- Bill Rich
Motion to accept the minutes from the previous meeting by M. Riker, seconded
by B. Thena, motion passed
Treasurer’s Report by M. Legath- Savings- $ 8,121.27
Checking- $ 1,840.09
Scholarship- $ 3,644.54
( Balance information as of 04/30/2008- added after the meeting. )
Scholarship forms are out- need a push from those with school contacts to help motivate guidance departments
No other Officer’s Reports at this time
River Side Festival of the Arts Update: P. LaDuca
-Portion of insurance has been paid
-RFA needs to do a final tax return prior to turning remaining funds over
to ACE
-Will keep RFA bank accounts open for a while until bills come due for the
festival and are payed out
-City requires all vendors to pay a vendor fee- vendors required to have
insurance ( 1 Million )
Information exchanged between B. Thena and P. LaDuca regarding the River
Rites insurance and the cities acceptance of that as coverage for up to 30
Vendors
RFA requesting $500.00 to help cover expenses in addition to the $500.00
previously dedicated. Motion to allot funds by M. Riker, Seconded by B. Thena
motion passed.
River Rites Festival Update: B. Thena-
-Need to guage interest in arts tent from the membership
-13 Youth will be playing at the Kids Jam portion of the Festival
-Need volunteers to assit with beer tent and other aspects of the Sunday evennt
ACE tent and Banner-
Approximatly $200.00 need for a new table and new banner-
Motion to allot funds- M. Riker, Seconded, P. Johnson- motion passed
Event Dates- Riverside Festival of the Arts- September 20- 21
Easton Arts Tour- September 27-28
ACE Arts Awards- December 7th
River Rites-
Sponsor logo needed for web site-PACAC-
