ACE Board Meeting Minutes
November 11th, 2008
Williams Center For the Arts- Rm. 108
Board Members Present: M. Riker, P. Johnson, C.D. Howell, M. Legath
A. Kwiatkowski, B. Gourniak, C. Georgiou
Board Members Absent: P. LaDuca, B. Thena
Elected Officers Present: A.Marraccini- ACE President,
W. Rich- ACE Vice PResident
Meeting called to order at 06:05 PM
Motion by M. Legath to accept the board meeting minutes from October 7th, 2008. Seconded by A. Kwiatkowski- motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report- Account balances as of October 31st, 2008
Checking- $ 984.78
Savings- $ 8,250.49
Scholarship- $ 3,160.43
Expenses- $ 853.20
Income- $ 1,000.00
All expenses reported to be related to the Arts Tour
Motion by A. Kwiatkowski to accept the treasurer’s report, seconded by P.
Johnson- motion passed.
Officers Reports- A. Marraccini’s Presidents Report
Riverside Festival of the Arts-
Wrap up meeting to be held on October 13th, 7PM.
Artist feedback was that it was a successful event with sales going well on
Sunday. Meetings are ongoing and volunteers welcome.
Arts Awards-
Bank Street is set- cost will be $25.00 a plate. Will be selling tickets at
Connexions- assitance is needed selling tickets.
Volunteer Coordinator-
Discussion point related to needing to find a volunteer to fill this position-
Would assist with coordination of volunteer activities.
Scholarship Committee Report-
A.Kwiatkowski- Press release is out for the Arts Awards- Contact has been made with the recipient of the Scholarship- attendance by her or family is still up in the air.
* Membership Update/ Promotions Committee- W. Rich- Vice President
Discussion related to central location for dropping off of memberships.
PO Box encouraged but issue still remains with people dropping off
memberships at Connexions.
Old Business-
Jackie Lima- at this time- no quote has been received for the repair of her
work. Will table until quote is available.
New Business-
Richard Martinez at the State Theatre - Opening on November 21st-
Volunteer opportunities at Heritage Day ’09- demos, folk art, ACE tent
Altered and Assembled- Opening 1.11.09- 52 pieces of work in the show
’09 Strategic Planning session to be scheduled-
Committee Structure for exhibitions
Budget allotments for year
Project development and community outreach
Other-
Seeking members for ACE Board as well as nominations for President and
Vice President of ACE- if any
Loose discussion of elections in ‘09
Motion made to adjourn the meeting at 6:55PM- motion passed
